Theseus' Blog
I'm Theseus, and as you saw before, I'm a college student. I'm 19 years old, trying to major in Psychology as an undergraduate student and then go to graduate school and major in Occupational Therapy. I've had a difficult time finding a job in the past, so I decided to go through a temp agency. I met Achilles on one of the jobs they sent me to and we started talking about games, found out we have a lot in common, and then I started hanging out with him and his wife, Korriana. They're wonderful people who are into a lot of the same nerdy stuff that I am, and I'm really happy I can help them out with YFHG.
My real name is Anthony. The reason I go by Theseus is because I love Greek Mythology and Theseus is my favorite Ancient Greek hero. I'm a huge Greek Mythology nerd, I love reading about it, playing games that involve it, and doing anything really that has something to do with it. I'm also a huge fan of fantasy/sci-fi books, Lord of the Rings being my favorite. Dresden Chronicles, Harry Potter, the Inheritance Cycle, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, the Heroes of Olympus, and the Ranger's Apprentice are my top book series (especially Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus). I'm also a big fan of anime. Sword Art Online, Attack on Titan, and Fullmetal Alchemist are my top 3, but there are countless others that I really like.
I started gaming when I was little. My mom is the oldest of 4, and her siblings were still in high school and whatnot when I was young. They had a Sega Genesis and anytime we went to my grandparent's house, I would sit down and play Sonic the Hedgehog for as long as I could. I think I would usually make it to fight Dr. Eggman for the first time, but I was too young to really understand the game and didn't have enough time to go further. From then on, gaming has been part of my life. I've always had a Gameboy of some kind, Pokemon and Legend of Zelda being my main games on that, however I've played all sorts like Mario, Dragonball Z, and Kirby. I also had a Nintendo 64 and Playstation for a couple years but once the Gamecube was released, my parents traded those 2 systems and all the games we had for a new Gamecube and a bunch of Gamecube games. That was my only console for awhile, until one year I got an Xbox for my birthday, as well as Halo. Thats when I truly got into gaming. I was around 13 at the time, so I could really get into and understand what was going on in the game, and the graphics and gameplay were getting better and better. I got a refurbished Xbox 360 when I was in high school, and the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was the first game I ever had on that. Oblivion is what opened me up to RPGs, and now thats about the only type of game I play. the Mass Effect trilogy is my all time favorite game series, hands down. I've yet to play a game I enjoy more than those. The combat is a fun, but the story is what sells it for me. The story of a game has a major impact on how I feel about it, and Mass Effect is the best I've seen. I also really enjoy Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, the Assassin's Creed series, FIFA, and just recently, Dishonored. I also have a Wii that I use mostly for Netflix, but when I do play games on it, its usually the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess or Skyward Sword. Metorid and Mario Cart are pretty fun too. Unfortunately, I have an old laptop, so PC gaming is very limited for me. My graphics card can't run much more than Solitare, however there are a few MMOs that I enjoy and am able to run. I also don't have any racing games, but I definitely want one of those.
I really look forward to helping head up YFHG. Because of gaming, I've met two of the best friends a person could have (Achilles & Korriana), and I want to help others find the same. I'm hoping that we will continue to grow and that we can create a place where people can just have fun, play video games, and not be worried about getting kicked because they couldn't play for awhile or having to deal with cyber-bullying. So, welcome, if you're new, and welcome back if you've been here before. I promise, we're pretty laid-back and cool.

I mostly play single player RPGs and recently got into Multiplayer and MMOs. The majority of my gaming blog is reviews of said single player games, but I will also review multiplayer and MMO games. Beware: my reviews are quite lengthy.

My personal blog is about school, work, whatever book I'm reading, maybe some cooking (maybe), and anything else I feel like sharing.
